The MC10ELT22DTR2 is a logic translator and level shifter designed to increase the speed of transitions and enable longer-range serial communication and signaling between two different logic families. This integrated circuit makes it possible to send fast, high-volume digital information from one logic family to another without having to purchase and install extra circuitry or components. It also increases communication distances and enables data transfer to and from devices with different logic families, such as between 5-V logic and 3.3-V logic. 

The MC10ELT22DTR2 offers very low power consumption, wide operating temperature range of -40° to +85° C, and guaranteed high reliability. It has a typical propagation delay time of 12 ns and a maximum propagation delay of 24 ns. It also has a typical power supply current of 0.52 mA and a maximum power supply current of 0.8 mA. The MC10ELT22DTR2 features high-speed ESD protection. It is designed to protect I/O pins against ESD strikes up to 5000 V Rating both Human Body Model and Machine Model.

The MC10ELT22DTR2 is a dual translators/level shifters built with two back-to-back CMOS inverters and two N-channel pass-gate transistors. The two CMOS inverters make up the Schmitt trigger structure that can sense a digital level change and responds with only a very small delay time, thanks to its digitally controlled internal hysteresis. The two N-channel transistors form a five-terminal PMOS pass gate on each side of the translators, which offers low output impedance and improved speed compared to other device types. Both pass gates feature a digital input to enable/disable the device. When a logic high is present on input Enable (EN), the output (Y) follows the input (A) levels, while a logic low on input Enable forces the output Y to a high-impedance state.

MC10ELT22DTR2 is ideal for coupling and transferring logic signals from one logic family to another in various applications such as battery-powered applications, automotive applications, consumer electronics, and telecom equipment. The MC10ELT22DTR2 is available in an 8-pin SOIC or SOT23 package.
