PMIC or Power Management Integrated Circuits are utilized for the optimal power management of a wide range of electronic systems. MC33982CHFK is one such chip which is manufactured by ON Semiconductor and served as a Load Drivers and Power Distribution Switches designed to be Direct Drive Input. This 1.67V rated, 4.5A load current provider allowed a power switch with a maximum duty of 99 % and features digital diagnostic functions. It is comprehensive and integrated power management solution with high-frequency performance and maximum switching frequency of up to 1.2 Mhz.
The dual-channel low-side heavy duty, medium side and low-side drivers all use advanced design techniques and the N-Channel architecture to enhance the satisfaction of general purpose and automotive application requirements. The high source current capability and low visible switching losses are the two instantly noticeable facts about MC33982CHFK. This chip is also highly reliable and can sustain high temperature environments with excellent transient response. This chip comes in an SO-8 lead free package that has maximum size of 108 x 74 micro-meters. The working principle of MC33982CHFK is equally simple and simple. It is a voltage-controlled switch which enables a direct drive input to set the desired output voltage level. This self-contained chip supports multiple signals and the output is activated when the input signal present on pin EN is low and the power supply reaches its rated voltage. In addition, the other two control signals, SD1 and SD2 allow the user to disable the Enabling (EN) pin control by placing a low voltage on the control input.
