The MC7915BT is a negative voltage regulator from the Linear voltage regulator family of PMIC (Power Management Integrated Circuit) products. It provides a regulated output voltage of -15 volts at up to 1.5A current for circuits operating from an unregulated input voltage in the range of -38 volts to -56 volts. It provides a fairly good regulation with a wide range of AC and DC line applications, even where line regulation is the only source of regulation.
