The wake-cycle is the maximum time for which the device will stay in the on state and the wake-to-sleep defines the time for which the device will stay in the off state. Using this feature, designers can create a specific power-on and power-off schedule or they can use it to turn the device on and off in a predictable fashion, ensuring that the device maintains its power-saving properties.
