The MCP1825ST-0802E/DB is a low-dropout linear voltage regulator developed by MicroChip Technology. This type of voltage regulator is used to regulate the output voltage of an electronic circuit in order to provide a stable supply voltage. It consists of an input voltage source VIN, an output voltage VOUT and a ground reference terminal. The VIN and VOUT are connected to the input and output terminal of the regulator respectively. The output terminal of the regulator is connected to the load while the ground terminal is connected to the reference voltage. The regulator then compares the input and output voltage levels. If the output voltage is less than the input voltage, the regulator will start to supply current to the load thus increasing the output voltage till the input and output voltage become equal.
