1. Describe
The MCP23X08 device provides 8-bit universal Parallel I/O expansion for I2C bus or SPI application. The number of two devices is different Hardware address pins and serial interface:
- MCP23008-I2C interface; three address pins
- MCP23S08-SPI interface; two address pins
MCP23X08 consists of multiple 8-bit configurations Registers for input, output and polarity selection. this The system master can enable I/O as input or Output by writing the I/O configuration bit. data Each input or output is saved in the corresponding Input or output register.
