MCP6031T-E/SN Application Field and Working Principle

The MCP6031T-E/SN is a dual low-power CMOS operational amplifier from the Microchip MCP60XX family, suitable for instrumentation and other general-purpose analog-signal-processing tasks. It possesses a wide input common mode voltage range, high output voltage drive capability, low-power consumption and low noise.

The MCP6031T-E/SN is designed to operate on multiple power supplies with a single-ended or balanced output voltage, depending on user configuration. In single-ended applications, it can provide up to 28V output voltage with up to 30mA drive capability. In balanced application, it can provide up to 36V output voltage with up to 20mA drive capability.

It is a rail-to-rail feature and works with common-mode inputs up to ±14.5V and is suitable for driving and receiving signals of up to ±10V. It features a low 3nV/√Hz noise-density specification which makes it ideal for low-noise, high-performance applications.

Working Principle

The MCP6031T-E/SN has two independent op-amp stages capable of amplifying the input signal with up to 120dB of gain.
