The MCP6XXXEV-AMP3 Evaluation Board is a versatile demonstration and development board for evaluating the performance of the MCP6XXX family of operational amplifiers. It is intended to provide a rapid assessment of the operational amplifier performance in different configurations, to assist design engineers in choosing the right amplifier for their application, and to quickly evaluate different external capacitors or other line impedances. In addition, the evaluation board can be used to examine some of the special features of the amp, such as slew rates, offset currents, and power supply rejection ratio (PSRR).

The MCP6XXXEV-AMP3 Evaluation Board is based on the MCP6V51 operational amplifier. The MCP6V51 is a low power, low offset voltage and current, and low quiescent current operational amplifier designed for general purpose applications. It features a rail-to-rail input and a wide operating supply voltage range of 2.7 volts to 5.5 volts. It also features a fast (50kHz) slew rate of 0.33 volts/microsecond and an operating current of 2.6mA at 5 volts. It is excellent for use in applications such as precision amplifiers and signal conditioners.

The MCP6XXXEV-AMP3 Evaluation Board consists of two parts: the amplifier daughterboard and the mainboard. The mainboard is provided for interfacing the amplifier daughterboard to the PC. It features an In-circuit Serial Programming (ICSP) interface, an RS-232 serial interface, and a DC power supply. The board also features breakout pins for the MCP6V51 amplifier, which can be used to connect external components such as capacitors and resistors for prototype projects.
