The MEXY2A393K combines an X-class capacitor with a Y-class capacitor, allowing it to achieve exceptional performance in AC line filtering applications. The X-class capacitor is a single sheet of plastic film combined with metalized film which is specially designed for use in AC line filtering. This type of capacitor is able to handle high temperatures and can efficiently filter out AC ripple and noise. The Y-class capacitor is also a single sheet of plastic film but with an extra layer of metallized film for added capacitance. This electrostatic field causes the voltage to increase over time, allowing it to store energy. When the voltage is decreased, the electrostatic field collapses, releasing the energy stored in the capacitor.
