Gas Sensors

Gas sensors provide a device to detect a gaseous component or a gas mixture in a certain environment. The sensors measure the concentration of the gas mixture by converting the gas concentration level into a corresponding electric signal. In general, a gas sensor consists of catalytic burner, oxygen sensor and combustible sensor. The catalytic burner is used to isolate the combustible gas from the air, the oxygen sensor is used to measure the percentage of oxygen in the air, and the combustible sensor is used to measure the combustible gas concentration in the environment.

MF010-1-LC3 is a specific type of gas sensor that uses a non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) absorption method. This sensor offers many advantages over traditional analog sensors. It is highly accurate in detecting a wide range of concentrations, requires no zero setting, and has a longer operational lifetime due to its low power consumption. Its versatile design also allows for installation in harsh environments, including outdoors.

The MF010-1-LC3 utilizes a one-cell compact NDIR design to measure and control the concentration of gases such as carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane (CH4). Its special dual light source design uses the latest generation of surface-emitting LED and optic grade optics to maximize signal-to-noise ratio (SNR).

The working principle of the MF010-1-LC3 is based on the principle of absorption spectroscopy. This type of spectroscopy is based on the interaction between light and matter. The light source in the sensor emits a beam of light and this light interacts with the gaseous molecules in the sample, causing them to absorb some of the energy from the light. As the energy of the light passing through the sample decreases, the signal received by the sensor decreases, allowing the sensor to measure the amount of gas present.

The MF010-1-LC3 is a highly accurate burning and control gas sensor. It is used in a variety of application areas, including fixed monitoring systems of fire safety, air quality monitoring, and controlling ventilation systems.
