The MHLL5040-200 is a flexible, two-layer EMI shield and absorbs material consisting of an EMI-alloy laminate over an EMI-absorbing foam core. The material\'s outer layer is an electro-deposited EMI alloy, providing a physical barrier to RFI/EMI signals. It blocks almost 100% of electrical signals in the 10MHz-6GHz range. The alloy is both malleable and flame retardant, making it ideal for applications where protection from fire and heat is required.
The core of the material is a flexible, non-conductive polyethylene foam that provides an efficient and reliable form of EMI/RFI absorption. It absorbs up to 99.99% of the ingress and egress of EMI/RFI between 10MHz-200MHz, and is also resistant to static discharges and other electrical discharge effects. The combination of alloy and foam makes for an effective shield and absorber material that can protect sensitive electronics from damage caused by electromagnetic interference and radio frequency interference.
