Examples of potential applications include internet/network appliances, lighting control systems, voltage security systems, data storage/servers, and many more.The MIC58P01YV-TR can be used as a dual DC/DC converter with Power Over Ethernet (PoE) interface, powering up to four entirely independant outputs with PoE or DC input supply. It is designed to enable multiple standby or powered up outputs and to enable independent power sources such as batteries or solar panels, providing flexibility and system cost reduction. It provides up to 2A to each output and provides separate control and power connections for each output rail.The MIC58P01YV-TR has a high maximum output current (Iout max) of 2A per channel, while keeping a typical quiescent current of less than 10uA when OFF, making it very low power. The high isolation output voltage, up to 1500 V, enables a much higher voltage safety margin than traditional integrated power systems, allowing for use in a variety of worst-case conditions. Five power-saving modes with extremely low power consumption make the MIC58P01YV-TR also suitable for low-power applications.The MIC58P01YV-TR comes as an integrated 8-pin package and is compliant with an industry-standard footprint, making it easy for designers to incorporate it into existing power architectures, allowing for lower design costs and faster time-to-market. Also, the circuit topology allows a continuous, current-controlled power delivery system and incorporates various hardware reset, enabling highly reliable power delivery systems.
