The indicator is used to display the measured quantity, while the telephone line acts as the communication conduit between the indicator and the terminal board. The radio sensor then transmits the analog measured quantity signal to the terminal board, where it is converted into a digital signal. This digital signal is sent via telephone to the remote monitoring center, where it is collected.
