The MIRAGE Planar Inverted F Antenna—also known as PIFA—is a versatile antenna for a variety of frequency ranges. This antenna is capable of achieving high-performance levels in a very compact design—in the range of 40 to 6 GHz—while offering excellent temperature and voltage stability, low radiation losses, and radiation patterns with consistent gain.
Applications of MIRAGE-PIFA:
MIRAGE PIFA antennas are suitable for a variety of applications in the 4G – 5G frequency bands, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, RFID, Cellular and 5G networks. These antennas are ideal for base stations, mobile phones and other wireless applications that require wide bandwidth as well as tolerance to temperature changes and shock. PBF antennas are also suitable for applications such as unmanned aerial vehicles, satellite communication, air traffic control and weather monitoring systems.
Working principle of MIRAGE-PIFA:
The MIRAGE Planar Inverted F Antenna is an advanced antenna technology designed to achieve high-performance levels and reduce temperature variations and voltage instabilities. It works similar to a conventional dipole antenna, but in an inverted fashion with the conductive elements on the side and ground plane on the top. The radiation pattern of this antenna is shaped by the two conductive elements and the ground plane which are tapered at the sides to achieve the desired gain and pattern. The antenna is very frequency independent, as the radiation patterns and gain are consistent over a wide frequency range.
