Due to the monolithic shield, the inductor works in a symmetrical fashion, avoiding any interference from noise sources, and thus allowing for minimal distortion in the output.
It is an inductive element based on Ferrite-Core-Inductor principle. A Typical Ferrite Core Inductor (FCI) consists of a ferrite core, a winding with wound turned cover (monolithic shield), two layers of insulated winding, and a piece of cover glass. The ferrite core is like the iron in the transformer with much loss, which helps to increase the inductance. The wires, on the other hand, act as a coil and create a magnetic field when an alternating current (AC) is applied. The windings provide energy storage, while the cover is designed to absorb parasitic radiation, and protect the device from EMI.
