The 74C374N is an 8 bit universal shift register which operates on 3-state output pins and it is used in all types of logic circuits. It is also used in sequential logic and controls applications, as well as in multivibrators. The 74C374N is a part of the 74C00/7405 (Quad 2-input NAND gate) family of logic ICs, which include 74LS00, 74LS04, 74LS08, 74LS32 and 74LS74. The 74C374N has 8 input pins, 1 output pin and 2 test pins, as well as 4 clock inputs.
The 74C374N operates by having an input pin voltage which is monitored by a 4 input multiplexor.
