Working Principle:
A Zener diode works similarly to a standard diode, however it is specially designed to be able to withstand higher forward or reverse voltages. The MMSZ5227B-7-F is a single Zener diode, which works by allowing current to flow from the anode (positive) to the cathode(negative) when a voltage is applied in the forward direction. This current is then limited by the built-in Zener breakdown voltage.
