It is ideal for board designs needing to match an 18Ω signal to a 9.09Ω, 6Ω, 4.5Ω pairs, or any other ratio provided. This makes it an ideal solution for precision matching, signal conditioning, noise reduction, and other general purpose application. It is also able to support applications such as pulse shaping, RF attenuation, ESD protection, and LED current limiting.The MNR18ERAPJ302 operates over the temperature range of -55° to 125°C with maximum power dissipation of 500mW and a maximum voltage of 25V. It has a tolerance of ±0.5%, a maximum thermal resistance of 225°C/W, and a resistance ratio of ±0.5%. With its compact size, it is ideally suited for use in space-restive applications.The way it works is relatively simple. In order to create multiple resistance values within one component, each resistor is connected in a series/parallel matrix. This matrix is then connected in a way that allows for controllable resistance change.
