It is also able to be used for driving multiple seriesable output strings for up to 8 LEDs for constant current and temperature control. The device has a high operating frequency of 1.2MHz, allowing for a dimmable output with a wide range of FETs and dimming options. The device also allows for a wide range of dimming performance and output current levels to meet different lighting requirements.

Working Principle

The MP3011DQ-LF-P is a high-efficiency, dimmable LED driver IC which converts a regulated DC input voltage into current proportional to the input voltage. It works using Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) technology. The PWM signal is generated according to the input applied to the device and is used to control the output current of the LED.When the input voltage is applied to the device, the voltage difference between the input voltage and the LED’s voltage drop will cause current to flow from the input to the LED. The current through the LED is regulated by a PWM signal generated by the MP3011DQ-LF-P.
