Through Hole Resistors
Through hole resistors, also known as axial resistors, are one of the most popular forms of resistors used in circuit design. They are commonly used in higher power systems due to their greater heat dissipation. The MP9100-5.00-1% is a surface-mount resistor which is designed to be mounted onto a printed circuit board (PCB).The MP9100-5.00-1% has a nine resistance range from 0.1 to 2.2 megaohms with principle of operation consisting of a leaded device with four ceramic layers surrounding a resistive film. The four ceramic layers have a predetermined resistance range with resistive values varying according to thickness.The MP9100-5.00-1% surface mount resistors are highly stable and have a variation of less than +2%. These resistors are designed to maintain accuracy under operating temperature conditions of -55°C to +155°C. With its high voltage rating of 1.4KV and high current rating of 0.5A, these resistors are suitable for use in a variety of applications.Applications of the MP9100-5.00-1% resistors include, but are not limited to, medical, automotive, consumer, industrial, and military electronics, power management, automotive electric circuits, and power supplies. They are also suitable for frequent applications that need external noise filtering. The MP9100-5.00-1% resistors are used to measure the current flowing through high-powered circuits, and they are available in various sizes.The working principle of the MP9100-5.00-1% is based on the presence of an electric field and the basic laws of electricity. When electricity flows through a conductor, such as a wire, the electrons in the wire are drawn towards the opposite end of the wire which contains extra electrons. As these electrons collide with the extra electrons, they form an electric field and cause a voltage drop in the circuit. This voltage drop is used to measure the current flowing through the circuit, and the MP9100-5.00-1% resistor is designed to measure this value accurately.The resistive film of the MP9100-5.00-1% is composed of four ceramic layers which have a predetermined resistance range. These layers are further surrounded by a protective coating which is designed to dampen any interference signals which are caused by the electric field. This helps to ensure accuracy when measuring the current.Overall, due to their compact size, excellent performance, and durability, the MP9100-5.00-1% resistors are extremely popular for all types of applications.
