The core of the MPC8572ECVTAVNE is a Power Architecture e500-Core (e500v2) which is based on the latest 2.2 GHz, VTAVNE core. Working Principle
The MPC8572ECVTAVNE contains a set of six superscalar processor cores, sharing integrated and distributed level-2 (L2) cache memories. Each of the processor cores is able to issue up to eight instructions per clock cycle, with up to two execution pipelines per core. This allows for extremely powerful and highly parallel computing power within the processor. The MPC8572ECVTAVNE also utilizes an advanced multi-core architecture, enabling a variety of different tasks to be executed simultaneously with much increased performance.
The CoreNet interconnect allows for extremely high speed memory access and device communication between the processor and peripheral devices. The combination of the interconnect, rapid processor core speed and memory capabilities is what makes the MPC8572ECVTAVNE an ideal processor for embedded device control applications.
