Working Principle

The MR33509MP6 has three red, green and yellow mini-LEDs. It is based on a common-anode architecture, which means that the LEDs form a common-anode connection. The LED\'s cathodes are connected to three control terminals. The device works by supplying a voltage to the control terminals. Depending on the voltage supplied to the specific terminals, respective LED will turn on or off.

For example, if we supply 3.3V to the red LED control terminal, the red LED will turn on; if we supply a 0V to the red LED control terminal, the red LED will turn off. Similarly, voltage can be supplied to other two control terminals - green and yellow - and respective LEDs can be turned on or off depending on the voltage supplied.

Using this principle, the MR33509MP6 is able to display seven different colors: red, green, yellow, orange, blue, white and purple. Depending on which LED is turned on, respective color will be displayed.

This device is thus highly reliable and is widely used in industrial and consumer devices.
