The MS4800S-20-0520-10X-15R can be configured with either Positive Blank (PB) or Non-Positive Blank (NPB). When configured with PB, it is recommended that the output signal should be a stop signal under any circumstances when the curtain signal is blocked. NPB is recommended when there is multiple operators on the same side of the curtain so that the blockage detection will be seen by a unit only when its own signals are blocked.

In addition to the PB/NPB, the MS4800S-20-0520-10X-15R can also be configured as One Content or Multiple Content (MC-1/MC-4). The One Content configures the curtain so that one single interruption will be enough to cause an output signal. When configured as Multiple Content, the output signal will only be activated when the interruption appears at the same location throughout at least four successive cycles.

For additional safety, the MS4800S-20-0520-10X-15R also supports Expansion of the Field of View (FOV). In this mode, the responses of all the beams that are blocked are evaluated together. The operator is able to increase the response accuracy, which is also useful when working with small or slow moving objects
