The MSLB9082DGD Evaluation Board, or LED driver, is a high-efficiency, low-cost LED driver solution that can power multiple LED strings. The board’s main component is its Class 2, 3-V rated, 40mΩ MOSFET, which provides improved portability and a wide range of applications. It also incorporates three integrated digital signal processing (DSP) cores to process the LED signals with high accuracy and precision. The board is designed to deliver LED LED’s above 96.5% efficiency with thermal management enhancements, including onboard temperature sensing and over-temperature protection (OTP). It is intended for use in lighting, automotive, home, and architectural LED applications.
The MSLB9082DGD Evaluation Board features a variety of features to make it more convenient and flexible to work with. For example, it includes a 5V/3A buck converter, as well as an adjustable luminance control and pulse width modulation (PWM)—allowing for a wide range of power applications. Additionally, it can be remotely controlled by a microcontroller with I2C, SPI, or similar protocols to make adjustments with minimal effort. The MSLB9082DGD Evaluation Board is also one of the lowest cost LED drivers available. It achieves a high power factor (PF) of 0.99 or higher, which enables it to use minimal space on a circuit board. In addition, the board requires only a single power supply that supports 5V to 24V input voltage range, making it ideal for a variety of LED applications. The MOSFET is also able to survive multiple polarity reversals, giving the board the capability of driving several LEDs with one line.
The MSLB9082DGD Evaluation Board’s working principle is based on the use of two or more power sources to drive a string of LEDs in parallel. The board is designed to be powered by a DC power source, such as a battery, wall adapter, or car battery, as well as an A/C line source.
