MTLT105D-R Application Field and Working Principle

This miniature highly precise monolithic inertial measurement unit contains a continuously rotatable capacitive three-axis technology to measure three angular positions: pitch, roll, and yaw.

The MTLT105D-R Obtains its measurements from the capacitve plates located in the base plate of the inclinometer. This utilizes a patented capacitance measuring principle to detect or measure the tilt angle or the inclination of the device. To ensure the accuracy of the measurement, a high-precision electrical compensator helps to minimize the offset and ensures any erroneous measurements when the device is at rest. When there is a change in the tilt angle, it causes a shift in capacitance in the capacitive plate. Inversely, when the capacitance changes, the tilt angle changes the detector is able to detect and measure this change with very good resolution and accuracy.
The internal mechanism of the inducive plate is that it enables the device’s electric circuits to detect the tilt or inclination of the plate in a highly precise manner that requires very little power.
The Working principle of the device includes two main parts; the capacitive plates and the electric compensator. The capacitve plates measure the variation in capacitance caused by the changes in the tilt angle. The compensator helps ensure accuracy by taking into account any offset and compensating for any erroneous measurements while the device is at rest.
