RF Evaluation and Development Kits, Boards, encompass many different types of components. For example, an EtherCAT Slave or IEEE 1588 Network interface can be included.
The development platform features an integrated WCDMA/LTE Power amplifier module for amplification of signals. The base module provides two Tx and two Rx channels, with each Rx channel supporting a maximum frequency of 1750MHz and a minimum frequency of 850MHz. It supports JEDEC standard packaging for cellular ICs or pin-to-pin compatible antenna tuners. The chipset is based on an advanced transceiver from STMicroelectronics and features a 1GHz ARM Cortex-M4 host processor.
The ARM processor is integrated with a set of peripheral functions that enable it to communicate with 5G, GSM, GPRS, and LTE cellular networks. It also supports various software development platforms, such as Arduino, Raspbery Pi, and Balena. In addition, the module supports various cellular hosting protocols, including CDMA, FDMA, and TDMA. The platform also comes equipped with a power management unit that enables the module to be powered up or down based on user requirements.
