Working Principle
MX553BBA156M250 oscillator works by using the phase-locked loop (PLL) principle. It creates a stable and precise frequency by using a reference frequency, which is provided from outside. The output frequency within the oscillator is precisely synchronized with the reference frequency by varying its operation in accordance to the reference frequency. The input signal is divided into two signals, which are then compared in the phase comparator. The phase comparator checks whether the two signals are in sync with each other by determining the phase difference between them. If there is any phase difference, the comparator will send signal to the voltage control oscillator (VCO) to adjust the frequency. This works together with loop filter to produce a stable output frequency.
