The MXP4KE250A is a Transient Voltage Suppression (TVS) diode designed to protect data and transmission lines from voltage transients caused by electrostatic discharge (ESD), electrical fast transients (EFT) and lightning induced surges. The device series has a Unidirectional configuration with a Peak Pulse Power rating of 250 Watts (W). The MXP4KE250A offers a low clamping voltage of 39 Volt (V) (typical) and a standoff voltage of 24 Volt (V). It is incorporated with a ceramic coat for superior soldering and great heat cycling performance. The mechanisms that are incorporated in MXP4KE250A are Electronic Protection (EP) and Transient Voltage Suppression.

The main application field for MXP4KE250A TVS diode is in automotive electronics such as electric and electronic control unit (ECU) and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). The technology also provides the ability to dissipate peak power rating of 250 W. This technology combines the over-voltage protection with the corresponding parasitic capacitance below 1.5 Volts-nanosecond (Vns). This helps in reliability and minimal irradiation of radiated noise.
