Working Principle

The MXSMCJ26A works on the concept of reverse breakdown through Avalanche breakdown. This reduces the applied voltage across the protected circuit and reduces the potential damage caused due to transients or voltage surges.

The MXSMCJ26A has a peak pulse power rating of 14 kW along with a very short response time of 2 ms, making the device suitable for use in high peak current applications.
