N2550-6002-UB is a high-performance rectangular connector, which belongs to the renowned and widely used Headers, Male Pins series. It is designed to connect two parts together with a high degree of reliability. It is ideal for applications requiring high performance signal and power connections.

The N2550-6002-UB transports digital/analog signals and power in harsh environments. It is suitable for scientific instrumentation, factory automation, power distribution, telecommunication, military/aerospace, automotive, and medical devices. Besides, its use is also applicable for the areas of broadband communications, computer networking, motor control, and renewable energies.

Working Principle

The N2550-6002-UB utilizes a hybrid architecture with two levels of shielding. The connector utilizes a ‘snap’ coupling mechanism which minimizes the size of the connector and eases handling. The shells of the connector consist of a polyamide injection-moulded outer casing and a metal clamp which provide excellent shielding effectiveness and secure mechanical integrity.

The contact cavities are shaped like a V which ensures secure contact alignment between the male and female contacts. The contacts of the N2550-6002-UB are ‘z-shaped’ and consist of an elongated body with a ‘anchor point’ to secure the connector in the mating system. The contacts are designed for the highest current capacity.

Once two N2550-6002-UB connectors are mated, the shells press together and engage the locking mechanism, ensuring a secure connection. The connectors are tested to withstand thousands of cycles of mating and un-mating, ensuring that the quality of connection is always maintained.
