What Is NC7SP14P5X?
NC7SP14P5X is a logic level, low power, 14-pin, single-pole double-throw (SPDT) switch utilizing Schottky diode and Low Input Offset Voltage High slew rate, CMOS operational amplifier (Op-Amp). The device is designed to provide superior on-off and polarization performance and is used in a variety of applications such as protecting the input pins of operational amplifiers, wide-band analog-to-digital (A/D) converters, buffer amplifiers, logic and micro-controller-based systems.Applications of NC7SP14P5X

Features of NC7SP14P5X
The NC7SP14P5X is capable of operating from very low power levels up to 6.5V at the input. It is available in the standard dual or single package, in both topside or bottomside mount mounting types, with or without thermal protection. NC7SP14P5X is characterized by its low on-state impedance and its fast turn-on and off times which allow for excellent signal transitions. Its Schottky diode adds protection against load-induced overshoot currents.NC7SP14P5X also features low consumption DC current of 0.6mA, a fast rise and fall time of 17ns and a low voltage drop of \<50mV. The low Input Offset Voltage (IOV) of the CMOS Op-Amp provides superior output accuracy and excellent dynamic performance, allowing relatively high-bandwidth signals to be switched with minimal power dissipation.Working Principle of NC7SP14P5X
The working principle of NC7SP14P5X is based on an open-drain connection. An open-drain connection simply connects two or more pins, allowing any one of the input pins to be in a low state, activating the output device, like an LED or a motor. When an input voltage is applied to the device, it converts the voltage to a logic level, in which logic 0 is represented by a Low State and logic 1 is represented by a High State, allowing for clear and stable switching. When no input voltage is applied to the device, the output is said to have a 0-state, which is represented by a low (“Off”) output. When an input voltage is applied to the device, the output will depend on the voltage value provided, but usually follows a “High” state. When the voltage is removed, the output will revert to the 0-state. The NC7SP14P5X is designed to provide an extremely low voltage drop, enabling excellent on-off and polarization performance. The device features an onboard Schottky Diode, which adds protection against load-induced overshoot currents.
