The NC7SP17FHX is a member of the Advanced Cascode Logic (ACL) family of low-voltage, low-power, full-skived Schottky logic buffers, drivers, receivers, and transceivers. It is specifically designed for use in embedded points-of-sale (POS) applications, providing high-speed and high-efficiency switching with low power consumption.

The NC7SP17FHX is a high-speed, single-channel, low-voltage, full-skived Schottky logic buffer/driver/receiver/transceiver. The device is designed to drive high-speed interfaces directly from low voltage supply rails. The output can source and sink up to 30 mA with fast logic switching times and tight timing control. The device features a 2.5 V (0.2 V) to 3.6 V (– 0.2 V) supply voltage range and a rail-to-rail input voltage range up to 5 V, making it an ideal solution for low-voltage applications. The device also offers high-impedance input/output capability, low power consumption, and fast switch times.

The NC7SP17FHX’s powerful logic driver/receiver/transceiver provides significant performance improvements over competing products by incorporating advanced BiCMOS logic, high transconductance stages with wide bandwidth, and 1.8 V rating, providing very low power consumption, fast switch times, and excellent input/output switching. The Schottky logic buffer/driver/receiver provides a single-ended +0.6 V output drive and a push-pull 1.8 V output drive, depending on the polarizing voltage applied at the output enable input. The Schottky logic transceiver provides a bidirectional +0.6 V output drive, depending on the enable and IOOE1/2 signals.

In addition, the Advanced Cascode Logic technology enables improved robustness, reliability, and low power consumption without compromising performance. This technology enables the use of smaller packages, fewer and simpler bypass capacitors, lower supply voltages, and reduced power consumption. The device also features advanced power management techniques such as dynamic switching logic, to reduce power consumption and extend battery life.

The NC7SP17FHX provides an ideal solution for embedded POS applications.
