The NC7SZ11L6X is a single channel level shifter that is ideal for solution designs which require bidirectional data communication between two systems with differing logic levels. It is designed to guarantee low static power consumption and low dynamic power while achieving high performance. It overcomes the tradeoff between static and dynamic power components, offering a low Tj junction and saving energy while meeting or exceeding the system performance requirements.

The NC7SZ11L6X offers a wide range of features for data transfers and control signals. This includes: input impedance, output hold level and enable control that allow users to achieve board level power savings over traditional level shifters.

The NC7SZ11L6X provides the user with a range of useful features and functions. These include a low Voltage Differential Signaling (LVD) interface, which supports data rates up to 1.6Gb/s; a Hot Swap enable feature to detect and prevent insertion difficulties; a spread spectrum clock jitter filter; a programmable output hold level; and hysteretic receiver design for maximum noise immunity.

In terms of its application areas, the NC7SZ11L6X is suitable for most systems requiring differential or singleended signaling across varying logic levels. This includes Ethernet, SCSI, memory interfaces, and many other data systems. It is especially suitable for use in mobile systems where low power consumption is essential.

The NC7SZ11L6X uses a proven logic gate/inverter combination to achieve signal transmission and signal isolation. This is accomplished by creating a logic gate between an input signal and an output signal, and an inverter to invert the input signal into its opposite signal.
