The NCP1090DRG ensures maximization of power delivery, detecting the amount of power needed by the device and controlling the output of power accordingly. It also reduces the Overvoltage Protection (OVP) trigger levels, providing a cost effective solution for PoE applications. In addition, the NCP1090DRG comes with a Battery Backup Control (BBC) system, allowing it to reverse the roles between the power supply and the device in case of an outage, delivering the power from the device to the power source via an Ethernet cable.
