In this method, the NCP1219P controller monitors the input voltage and current and produces a sum of signals corresponding to the peak of the negative phase (phase angle accuracy). This value is then compared to a fixed reference to ensure the input voltage and current have a sinusoidal waveform with a constant phase angle (usually between 0° and 80°)and power factor close to 1. The NCP1219PRINTGEVB board also includes an internal HV and LV regulator, which helps to further improve performance and reduce standby power consumption. The HV regulator gives an output voltage of up to 600V while the LV regulator gives an output voltage of 5V.
