It is designed to provide a simple, low-cost and efficient solution for processor core voltage in deep sub-micron technology with up to 1.5A of output current. It integrates a full-featured buck converter with an optimal combination of high-density integration, simplicity, cost and efficiency. It is optimized to work with flat-pack and other shrinkable packages.Application Field and Working Principle

The amplified error signal drives a gate driver and is then used to drive the low side MOSFET according to the output voltage requirement.The core features of the NCP1402SN27T1 includes: Internal soft-start and synchronization, wide input voltage range (2.7V to 18V), adjustable output voltage range (0.7V to 5.0V), adjustable output current (up to 1.5A), adjustable switching frequency (100kHz to 2MHz), and external protection: Under voltage (UV) and over voltage protection (OVP).
