NCP2892AFCT2G is a Low-NOISE, low distortion Audio Amplifier with a SINGLE-ENDED output. It is designed to drive 8 ohm, 4 ohm or bridged-tied load (BTL) speakers with its robust output stage. Its maximum output power is specified as 12W into 8 ohm loads and 19.2W into 4 ohm loads, allowing it to be used in home theatre, car audio, and audio systems. The device features a power saving ECO mode, and its low power consumption makes it ideal for battery-powered applications.
NCP2892AFCT2G is a two-stage amplifier with a two-pole band pass filter in the first stage. The first stage of the amplifier contains an NMOS device and an RC network to provide the gain control. The second stage is an inverted differential amplifier, it provides the current and voltage gain. The device\'s power-saving ECO mode can be enabled, or disabled using two pins on the device. The device has a thermal compensation network built into the power-down logic, which adjusts the quiescent current based on the temperature of the device. In addition, the device features a soft start function that prevents large inrush currents from impacting the system during power up. This is accomplished by increasing the output voltage gradually over a few milliseconds during startup and reduces the need for a slow start-up circuit and also minimizes audible mute pop noise.
