INTRODUCTION The NCP4894MNR2 is a high performance, low-voltage, low-noise operational amplifier designed for audio applications. The functional block diagram of the NCP4894MNR2 operational amplifier is shown in figure 1. The amplifier consists of two sections: an input section and an output stage. The input section consists of two sets of input transistors; a positive input transistor and a negative input transistor. These transistors act as current mirrors, and their outputs are fed directly to the output stage. The output stage of the amplifier is a voltage follower. The output voltage of the amplifier is equal to the input voltage, multiplied by the gain of the amplifier. To achieve the desired gain, the feedback resistor, Rf, is adjusted accordingly. The output stage is also capable of supplying very high output currents, up to ±250mA.
