The DC/DC converter is designed to minimize power consumption and simplify system design by providing configurable output current, allowing LED applications to reduce component count and cost. The NCP5010FCT1G has a frequency configurable, voltage mode, PWM controller with a constant-on-time mode that is used to provide highly reliable visibility and control of the LED current. The on-time of the switch is programmable with an external resistor, and the current limit is programmable depending on the user\'s needs. It also has a high-side current-sense amplifier with a cascode amplifier that accurately senses the LED current and completely shuts off the current in the case of an output short-circuit. The circuit provides an adjustable hysteresis of the induction voltage and over-voltage protection (OVP) to ensure safety and reliable control of the current, which eliminates the need for additional reducing circuitry.The NCP5010FCT1G also features two feedback outputs for LED light duty cycle control and pulse-width modulation (PWM) applications. It provides excellent peak-current efficiency, as well as fast response time, thus providing reliable performance. The integrated low on-resistance (RDS(on))MOSFET drivers are designed to provide high-frequency drivers to reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI) and improve system efficiency.
