It is a reliable Power Management Integrated Circuit (PMIC) that guides a series of LED elements or a single LED element with a regulated current.The PMIC is specifically designed for driving high bright LEDs. It operates from an input voltage of 2.7V to 16V and permits the output of 200mA. The IC offers an improved LED dimming control for LED backlight applications in imaging applications.The IC has an integrated low-side and high-side circuitry and an embedded boost converter that acts as a constant current source and dimming control. The integrated blocking diode at the output end prevents reverse current flow and maintains high efficiency.The device also features a shutdown mode at a logic low level which offers a very low current operating mode and power savings. This allows extended battery life in portable devices. In addition, the over temperature protection feature shuts down the device when the junction temperature exceeds the set temperature.The device integrates the CAN SmartBrew™ technology which provides an optimized high efficiency operation, low peak inductor current and low EMI interference.
