Signal relays are sometimes called form-C, latching, or interlocking relays. They are used to open and close a circuit in response to certain conditions or instructions. They are most useful when controlling equipment from a distance or when controlling several loads with one switch. NF2EB-24V is a type of signal relays which can carry up to 2 amperes.

NF2EB-24V relies on a basic magnetic principle in order to work properly. At the heart of the relay is an electromagnet. When the electromagnet is energized by an electrical signal, it creates a magnetic field that attracts a movable armature or plunger. As the armature or plunger moves, it causes a pair of contacts to change position. This effect can be used to open or close a circuit to a load or other external device. When the electric current is stopped, either because of the absence of the power source or because of a safety switch, the magnetic field will decrease and the armature or plunger will be released and return to its original position.

An NF2EB-24V relay can be used with either ac or dc voltages, and can retain a “contact memory” of previous switching operations regardless of the magnetic power sources. Its power rating is up to 2 amperes with a voltage between 10 to 250 volts, while its insulation resistance is up to 100 ohms at 500VDC. Its contact resistance is up to 50 milliohms at full load.
