When the voltage reaches the desired level, the switch turns off and the stored energy is released through the primary and secondary windings of the buck-boost transformer, thus giving the output voltage.When the input voltage is higher than the output voltage, the switch is changed to reversal of its polarity, as the capacitor and inductor now start to storing energy and when the voltage reaches the desired value the switch turns off again. In this way the energy stored in the capacitor and inductor is reversed and sent to the output diode.The NH020F series of converters can be used in voltage regulation applications because its response speed is very fast and its output voltage is very stable and precise.
