The NJM2103D is an integrated 3-Channel Voltage Regulator monitor IC (VRM IC) developed by New Japan Radio Co., Ltd. This IC is designed to monitor the output voltage of 3-Channel low-dropout (LDO) regulators which are frequently used in battery-powered LCD applications.The NJM2103D IC can monitor the output voltage of the three-channel LDO regulators and the system status for overload and over-voltage prevention. The NJM2103D is available in the compact 8-pin VSSOP package. This IC features built-in analog circuit, such as RMS detectors, comparators and other circuitries, which together provide high accuracy and low-power consumption for monitoring applications. The NJM2103D has 3-channel Voltage Regulator Monitors (VRMs) that allow the user to monitor the output voltage of 3-Channel low-dropout (LDO) regulators. The user can configure the upper and lower threshold voltages independently and accurately monitor the output voltage by setting the upper and lower voltage parameters. The NJM2103D can also accept up to 3 signal voltage inputs. These 3 signal voltage inputs can be used to accurately monitor the output voltage and protect the system from potential over-voltage and overload situations.The NJM2103D is also capable of providing a single power supply and ground. This is essential for operating in battery-powered LCD applications as it saves on power consumption. In addition, the NJM2103D can provide up to 500mA of regulated output current.
