The NJM2138M# is a monolithic amplifier IC designed for general purpose and instrumentation amplifier applications. It is a high performance, low noise, low input offset voltage and low distortion amplifier, suitable for a wide range of applications.

The NJM2138M# is a combination of a two-stage, two-input CMOS differential input amplifier, an output stage FET (Field Effect Transistor) and an output buffer transistor. The differential input signals VINP and VINN are amplified by the two-stage differential input amplifier and the output signal is buffered by a complementary output buffer. The gain of the amplifier is set by the voltage divider R1 and R2. The output signal presented at the emitter of the FET is amplified by a factor of (1+ R1/R2).

The power requirements of the NJM2138M# are 3.3V to 7V. The package includes the IC itself, thermal-protection diodes, voltage regulator and other protection components. Variations of the package are available including DIP (dual-in-line Package), SOT- packages and individual die. This makes it suitable for a variety of designs where a good-performing amplifier is required.
