NJM4151D is a DC/DC buck converter PWM chip designed for low voltages, making it well-suited for use in automotive electronic applications. It is a Voltage-to-Frequency (V/F) and Frequency-to-Voltage (F/V) converter with an integrated low-pass filter and under voltage detector.

NJM4151D is an efficient and cost-effective solution for DC/DC buck converters. It supports a wide input voltage range of 4.0V–19.2V and can generate a high-efficiency output current of 200 mA under normal operating conditions.

The chip requires only a 5V power supply, has a built-in frequency-to-voltage (F/V) conversion circuit and low-pass filter, and supports a wide range of PWM duty cycle control. NJM4151D also provides an under voltage lockout function that changes its output voltage when input voltage drops below 4.0V, thus protecting the chip from damage.

NJM4151D\'s V/F converter utilizes a voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) to generate an output frequency. This frequency is proportional to the input voltage. The frequency is then compared to the reference frequency and the comparator output is used to control the built-in PWM control circuit. The PWM control circuit generates a PWM output signal with a duty cycle that is proportional to the magnitude of the input voltage. This PWM signal is used to regulate the output voltage.

NJM4151D also includes an integrated low-pass filter to eliminate high- frequency noise from the output voltage, and an under-voltage lockout function. When input voltage drops below 4.0V, the under-voltage lockout circuit automatically sets the output voltage to its minimum value to protect the chip from overload or over-voltage damage.

NJM4151D is a highly integrated, cost-effective PWM controller used to provide constant DC voltage output in DC/DC buck converter applications. It supports a wide range of input voltage and can generate a PWM output signal with adjustable duty cycle.
