The board is based on the proven high-efficiency buck topology and features an advanced controller IC to control the power output, provide over-current and over-voltage protection, and to remain in compliance with the surge voltage limits set by the conformal-coated and encapsulated PCBs associated with the board. The board also has a versatile protection suite that allows the board to be used in applications that require high immunity to electrical stress, such as automotive, medical, and industrial environments.
The NV890230PDR2GEVB evaluation board also integrates a comprehensive suite of advanced features into its design, including an isolated power-monitoring, a line EMI filter, a CVR (Compensation for Voltage Ripple) circuit, and a soft-start circuit.
