NV890230PDR2GEVB is an evaluation board developed by ON Semiconductor, a global leader in technology. The board takes the form of an open frame design which allows the user to directly observe the inputs and outputs associated with the power system, and to measure the performance of the power system components. The board takes advantage of an ultra-low standby power efficiency of 96.5% at full load, an operational efficiency of 85% at full load, and an advanced control circuit that is fully compatible with many leading DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS standards.

The NV890230PDR2GEVB is a high-efficiency, high-performance power solution that is designed to operate in operating temperatures up to 85℃. The board is based on the proven high-efficiency buck topology and features an advanced controller IC to control the power output, provide over-current and over-voltage protection, and to remain in compliance with the surge voltage limits set by the conformal-coated and encapsulated PCBs associated with the board. The board also has a versatile protection suite that allows the board to be used in applications that require high immunity to electrical stress, such as automotive, medical, and industrial environments.

The NV890230PDR2GEVB evaluation board also integrates a comprehensive suite of advanced features into its design, including an isolated power-monitoring, a line EMI filter, a CVR (Compensation for Voltage Ripple) circuit, and a soft-start circuit.
