The OM13099UL Evaluation Board is a unique product designed to help engineers with the development of user-oriented 5V / 3.3V applications. It enables designers to quickly and accurately create and evaluate applications that require component and PCB layout design.

The OM13099UL Evaluation Board consists of an 8-port USB 2.0 Hub with integrated 5V / 3.3V logic levelshifting for 5V / 3.3V I/O applications. This reversible voltage level-shifting is supported by a 10-position VDD/GND DAC connected to the board’s VDD and GND. The integrated 3.3V converter (IC4) onboard serves as a battery protection circuit, protecting the board from over-voltage and under-voltage conditions.

The onboard oscillator functions as the system’s clock source. It is adjustable from 1 Hz to 4 MHz. The OM13099UL Evaluation Board also includes a six-layer PCB which provides excellent signal integrity and thermal spreading capacity. The OM13099UL Evaluation Board also offers 10 0.300” power and signal ports for connecting to targets, IEEE 1394, USB, I2C, and other peripherals.

The OM13099UL Evaluation Board is ideal for testing a variety of I/O systems for audio, video, telecommunications, networking, medical imaging, instrumentation, and other user-oriented applications. It also enables engineers to perform detailed design and testing of power management and system control circuits. Additionally, the OM13099UL Evaluation Board features a powerful debugging, logging, and reporting capabilities, allowing engineers to monitor, analyze, and diagnose all the low-level operations within a system.

The working principle of the OM13099UL Evaluation Board is based on a series of specific user-oriented 5V / 3.3V device combinations. The board utilizes an embedded set of built-in logic levels to accurately calculate and control the necessary steps in the user-oriented operations. This includes autonomously driving up to 8 USB ports with 3.3V logic levels and a maximum of 4A peak current. It also allows for the addition of 12 external GPIO lines which can be individually configured for either 5V or 3.3V logic levels. Additionally, it can drive 5V / 3.3V I/O scenarios with up to 3.3V/2.5V levels with a maximum of 350mA current.

The OM13099UL Evaluation Board also features a 10-position VDD/GND DAC that can be dynamically adjusted to provide either 5V, 3.3V, or 2.5V levels from the onboard oscillator for a wide range of user-oriented applications. Additionally, this board is capable of measuring power-management parameters such as supply voltage, current, and frequency. This information can then be recorded in a log file, making it useful for testing, debugging, and developing applications.
