The OPA134UAG4 (UAG4) is one of the many operational amplifiers (op-amps) available, and is designed for use in Instrumentation, Buffer, and, Amplification applications. An operational amplifier is an integrated circuit (IC) normally consisting of one or more amplifying sections. Each section has one or more stages that can be purposely optimized or ‘tuned’ to suit the desired application.
The UAG4 has a two-stage, fully differential, single-ended input, low noise op-amp, designed to deliver high performance in a variety of applications. It features an internal 800 MHz rail-to-rail output buffer amplifier with adaptive biasing to ensure the highest performance with low-noise operation. The UAG4 also includes a wide bandwidth, high slew rate, high dynamic range, and low harmonic distortion.

The UAG4 offers excellent AC performance, featuring outstanding low-noise performance, wide bandwidth (180MHz), high slew rate (200V/μs), and high gain-bandwidth product (1700V/μs). It has a low harmonic distortion of -89dB, and the DC performance remains excellent with a low bias current of 30 nA. In addition, the UAG4 has very low input offset voltage, low input offset current, low input bias current, and low output voltage drift.
When it comes to working principles, the UAG4 is based on negative feedback, which is an open loop voltage amplification system where the output voltage is proportional to the input voltage, minus a fraction of the output voltage. The fraction controlled by the feedback network. This feedback network reduces the gain of the amplifier by decreasing the amount of the output voltage that is sent back to the input.
