Working Principle

These reflections form a high-gain optical cavity and increase the amount of optical energy stored in the optical cavity.

During the operation of laser diode module, the semiconductor material first absorbs the pumping energy from the light source. When the material is activated, it enters the stimulated absorption stage which allows photons to be fully absorbed and reflected. As a result, the light intensity of light source increases, creating a continuous wave of light. This high-intensity light is then emitted from the optical cavity, forming the output of the laser module.
