The OV7692-RYAA image sensor has an array size of 1080 x 1080 and a maximum frame rate of 25fps. It features a back-illuminated 1/2.5-type CMOS image sensor that delivers superior image quality and low power consumption. OV7692-RYAA also supports gaming capture and video conferencing. This image sensor can also support gamut mapping, face recognition, and object tracking.
The dynamic range of OV7692-RYAA has been increased to 12 stops. The image sensor also supports chroma subsampling for better color rendition. OV7692-RYAA also supports auto black level calibration to accurately capture shadow details. This image sensor also features enhanced noise reduction to yield clear details with low noise at low light conditions.
Working Principle of OV7692-RYAA Image Sensor
OV7692-RYAA image sensor relies on a number of processes to capture and process an image. The starting point is the lens, which focuses light reflected from the scene onto a pixel array on the image sensor. The pixel array is covered by a color filter array that determines each pixel\'s color. Once the light has been broken down into its components, the pixel values are collected and stored in the sensor’s memory. The image signal processor (ISP) then processes the image data, transforming it into a series of digital numbers that can be interpreted by the camera.
The ISP performs several operations on the data, including demosaicing, noise reduction, color balance, and sharpening. Demosaicing is the process of reconstructing a full-color image from the individual pieces of thechroma subsampled data. The noise reduction step is also important to reduce unwanted artifacts from the image. Next, the camera applies color balance to correct the white balance and color render the image into a format that a monitor can display.
